2020 Manhattan Patriots Cheer Info K-8 th Grades
Football Cheer
Cheer will practice at the Manhattan Jr. High and will cheer for all football games. Our home games are played at Lincoln Way West High School. We cheer for 8 regular season games and playoffs with the I-8 Football league. The first football game will be in early August. Our official game schedule will be out in June.
Competitive Cheer
Cheer will continue to Compete in the Illinois Recreational Cheer Association Competitions. Competition dates will be released early March. Cheer will compete in 3 competitions this year with a goal of earning a BID to the State Championship. Competition is optional for 1st -3rd grades. Competition is mandatory for grades 4th and up.
Practice Schedule: (Levels may change depending on registration numbers)
SLW--Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grades--Football Only no competition
-Till school starts Monday thru Thursday 6-7:30
-Once school starts practice will be 1 night a week 6-7:30
-Occasionally extra events/practices may happen during the week of Homecoming
LW--1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade -- Competitive and Football Cheer
-Till school starts Monday thru Thursday 6-7:30
-Once school starts practice will be 2 nights a week on Tues Wed or Thurs
-Indoor Practices times will be adjusted based on school availability
JV--4th and 5th (poss 6th grade) -- Competitive and Football Cheer
-Till school starts Monday thru Thursday 6-8 pm
-Once school starts practice will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6-8
-Indoor practice times will be adjusted based on school availability
Varsity--7th and 8th (poss 6th grade) -- Competitive and Football Cheer
-Till school starts Monday thru Thursday 6-8
-Once school starts practice will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 6-8
-Indoor practice times will be adjusted based on school availability
6th Grade ******As in the past 6th Grade may be a part of JV or Varsity
It will be determined based on registration numbers
Cheer Registration Fees are as follows:

Before March 1st -
$225.00 Registration Fee for 1st child,
$200.00 for 2nd child, and
$175.00 for 3rd child.
After March 1st prices go up by $50.00.
Alumni Discount: $25.00
Equipment: Bow, spanx/briefs, and scrunches will be same as last year

State Registration Fee: $145.00 Due once a team earns a bid to State.

*This is a prepaid fundraiser. You get 22 tickets to sell at $5.00 each. When you sell them you keep the money!
Participation/Equipment Checks: $300.00
The last 2 checks we ask for are for parent participation and equipment return. These checks will be written for $150.00 each and post dated to October 31, 2020. The check for Parent Participation will be returned if you complete the 3 credits neededof volunteer work. The Equipment Return check will be given back when all players required equipment is returned.
